Fridge & Freezer Meal Cooking Instructions

We're trying to cut down on single-use paper within our deliveries. 
Instead of printing instructions for every dish please find some simple guidelines for storing and reheating your food below.

FROZEN MAIN MEALS

Baby Aubergine & Broccoli Panang Curry

Please allow to defrost fully overnight in the fridge before reheating. For best reheating results, place contents in a saucepan and gently warm through on a medium heat until piping hot but do not allow to boil - approx. 5-8 mins.

Best served with Basmati Rice or Rice Noodles

 

Classic Fish Pie with Cheesy Mash Top

Please allow to defrost fully overnight in the fridge before cooking. To cook, remove the card top and place the container on an oven tray in the centre of the oven. Cook at 180’ for about 25-30 mins or until golden on top and piping hot in the middle (contains raw fish). Once defrosted, cook within 2 days.

Best served with Peas or Broccoli

 

Classic Shepherd’s Pie with Cheesy Mash Top

Please allow to defrost fully overnight in the fridge before cooking. To cook, remove the card top and place the container on an oven tray in the centre of the oven. Cook at 180’ for about 25-30 mins or until golden on top and piping hot in the middle.

Best served with Peas or Steamed Greens

 

Cod, Chorizo and Cannellini Bean Stew

Please allow to defrost fully overnight in the fridge before reheating. Once defrosted, please cook immediately (contains raw prawns). For best reheating results, place the contents in a saucepan and warm through on a medium heat until piping hot and the cod is cooked through (approx. 5-7mins). Do not allow to boil or the fish will become tough. Add a splash of water if necessary, to loosen the stew.

Best served with Wild Rice or Orzo, and a handful of fresh chopped Parsley. 

 

King Prawn Panang Curry

Please allow to defrost fully overnight in the fridge before reheating. For best reheating results, place contents in a saucepan and gently warm through on a medium heat until piping hot and prawns are cooked though - approx. 5-8 mins. Do not allow to boil or the prawns will become tough. Consume within one day of defrosting - contains raw shellfish.

Best served with Basmati Rice or Rice Noodles

 

Lamb Koftes with Apricot & Fennel

Please allow to defrost fully overnight in the fridge before cooking. To cook, remove the card top and place the container on an oven tray in the centre of the oven. Cook at 200’ for about 8-10 mins or until piping hot through. 

Best served with flatbreads & yoghurt

 

Loula's Kimchi

Please store in the fridge in an airtight container. Compress the Kimchi down so that it is always covered by its liquid. Not suitable for freezing. Use within two weeks of receipt/date in the bottom.

Best served as a side with Asian recipes or as an alternative to pickle with a deli-style lunch.

 

Slow-Cooked Lamb Tagine with Apricots

Please allow to defrost fully overnight in the fridge before reheating. For best reheating results, place contents in a saucepan and gently warm through on a medium heat until piping hot. Alternatively, remove the card top from the container and cover with tin foil, then warm in the oven at 180’ for 20 mins or until piping hot. 

Best served with Couscous

 

South African Bobotie

Due to the delicate nature of the topping, this dish has been precooked and only needs reheating. Please allow to defrost fully overnight in the fridge before reheating. To reheat, remove the card top, then heat in oven at 180’ for 20-25 mins or until piping hot.

Best served with a crunchy Green Salad

 

Pumpkin and Ricotta Tortelloni with (optional) Seasonal Sauces

Can be cooked from fresh or frozen. Carefully place the Pumpkin Tortelloni into a saucepan of boiling salted water and simmer for 4-5 minutes (or 5-6 minutes from frozen) until the pasta is al dente. When the pasta is cooked, drain it and then add it to a a saucepan of warmed Pesto or Sage Butter and gently toss to coat all over.

Best served with Parmesan Shavings, Pine Nuts and a Bitter Leaf Salad

 

Sticky Soy & Ginger Pork Meatballs

Please allow to defrost fully overnight in the fridge before cooking. To cook, remove the card top and place the container on an oven tray in the centre of the oven. Reheat at 180’ for about 15-20 mins or piping hot. 

Best served with Noodles or Rice, Asian Greens & Coriander

 

Spiced Sweetcorn Chowder

Please allow to defrost overnight in the fridge, or, defrost slowly in the microwave before reheating. To reheat, place in a saucepan and warm through on a medium heat until piping hot. 

Best served with with some fresh Coriander and Crusty Bread

 

Thai Chicken Massaman Curry

Please allow to defrost fully overnight in the fridge before reheating. For best reheating results, place contents in a saucepan and gently warm through on a medium heat until piping hot - approx. 5-8 mins. Do not allow to boil or the chicken will become dry. 

Best served with Basmati Rice

 

Thai Salmon Fish Cakes

Please allow to defrost fully overnight in the fridge before reheating. For best reheating results, carefully place the fish cakes on an oven tray with some baking paper underneath into the centre of the oven at 180' for 15-20 minutes, or until hot through.

Best served with Asian greens or salad and our Chilli Lime Mayo.

  

Vegan Bolognese

Please allow to defrost fully overnight in the fridge before reheating. To reheat, place in a saucepan and warm through on a medium heat until piping hot. 

Best served with spaghetti & grated parmesan

 

Veggie Lentil Lasagne

Please allow to defrost fully overnight in the fridge before cooking. To cook, remove the card top and place the container on an oven tray in the centre of the oven. Cook at 200’ for about 25-30 mins or until golden on top and piping hot in the middle. 

Best served with a crunchy green salad

Black Garlic Aioli

Store in the fridge and consume within two weeks. Not suitable for freezing.

SWEET TREATS

Apple, Blackberry & Cinnamon Crumble

Can be cooked from fresh or frozen. To cook, remove the card top and place the container on an oven tray in the centre of the oven. Reheat at 175’ for about 20-25 mins or piping hot. If cooking from frozen, please allow 40-45 minutes.

 

Apple Tarte Tatin

To reheat, place on an oven tray in the centre of the oven with some baking paper underneath at 175’ for about 5-10 minutes or until hot and the pastry has crisped up. Best eaten within 3 days.

 

Berry Ripple Cheesecake Brownies

Please store in the fridge. Best eaten fresh within 5 days.

 

Courgette, Lime & Pistachio Cakes

Please store in the fridge. Best eaten within 2 days.

 

Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt Tartlets

Please store in the fridge. Best eaten within 3 days.

 

Double Chocolate Brownies

Best eaten fresh. If wrapped up, they last well for several days, in or out of the fridge.

 

Mini Banana Loaves with Chocolate Caramel Chunks

Best eaten fresh. They last well for several days in the fridge, in or out of the fridge.

 

Mini Lemon Tart Bites

The foil containers are not suitable for the microwave. We recommend all dishes are cooked and eaten within one day of defrosting.
